Colorado too, I25 is kinda famous for it. The other night I went 85+ (I don't know how fast I went, my speedo only goes to 85) just to keep up with traffic. It was scary as hell, my front suspension felt like it was gonna take off with out me.

What's up with this cop car? It is an "undercover livery" or something?

Colorado isn't near as bad as we think though, Georgia is wayyy worse then here. I keep traffic moving into the slow lain here..well, in the Z atleast, lol. Kept having to move over for people in my dad's Impalla SS over their though.

Native Georgian chiming in. Back when I was in college they held an annual short film contest. I think they still do. One submission one year not only own but made the news. 285, at the time, had a ridiculously low speed limit of 55 mph. No body went that slowly unless there was a speed trap. I'll give you a hint, there were several mainstay traps aka police need a new cruiser fundraising spots.

The people in charge said the speed limit was for safety despite the fact that we know speed doesn't mean instant death and no one went 55 to begin with.

The students got a group of friends and made a line across all lanes going 55 during rush hour. They screwed up traffic for half the city of Atlanta. It was used as evidence for raising the speed limits. 7 or 8 years later we got higher speed limits.

It's on YouTube.

I don't think its an undercover livery, just a super badass livery.

I suspect going 80 on the morning commute, during rush hour is not the norm for most places. But there is still probably too much traffic to go 90+ … unless you're that hardcore.

I actually did that a couple weekends about at the same time of night. Ended up going about 130mph with a 3 -series. While it was a light hearted street race, I still feel bad about it …. I'm trying to be slightly more responsible.

My commute last summer was mostly in the Metro, not Detroit proper, but on the way in it was 80 mph minimum with the odd crazy here or there weaving through at 90, so yeah you're pretty much correct.

Yea that probably makes a difference. But I know what you mean about the odd crazy person. Some guy in a Camry last night had to of been doing 11o mph, seriously flew by me.

In Northern Quebec they don't have freeways, but there also isn't many cops...so you can go as fast as you like, just watch out for deer.

Everyone in Ontario is doing it. When headlights hit them they show in colour (gold or whatever) so they are technically marked cruisers. The provincial popo had the right black/brown coloured cruisers so that they blended right in. If you weren't close you couldn't see it.

I feel it should be entrapment, but I am no lawyer...

Hitting a deer at 80+ must be a scary thing.

We have those in Austin (though I haven't seen one in awhile), in both that metallic gray above, and in white. The lettering is retro-reflective, and if you're approaching from a lane next to the cruiser, you can't see the lettering from the back. It's a sneaky way for police cruisers to be out on the highway and catch speeders - they let them run right past, because they don't look like they're marked until its too late.
